Fig Chicken Salad
A light twist on your classic chicken salad, filled with sweet, dried figs and crunchy walnuts.

A Middle Eastern Chicken Salad Fusion
We're taking an American chicken salad sandwich and fusing it with some Middle Eastern flavors today.
Just because we can.
We love dried figs in oatmeal and other baked goods, but we were curious if we could bring them into more of a savory dish. So, we turned to the Middle East, where figs hail from, for flavor inspiration.
Our Fig Chicken Salad Recipe
Dried figs and walnuts give this chicken salad a bit of sweetness and a satisfying crunch.
We also made this chicken salad a bit lighter by using yogurt in the dressing in place of mayo. The creaminess is still there, but it is not overpowering or heavy, a perfect complement to the figs.

I've always thought my chicken salad recipe was the best but this one is a close second 😉
Great flavor combo!

Awesome! I'm excited to try it!
That looks delicious! I love chicken salad and the addition of figs sounds perfect. Beautiful.
Wow, that looks delicious! I think I might add some unsweetened dried cranberries to it and serve it on toasted walnut bread with lettuce. (Hmm. This seems like an excellence reason to thaw and roast a chicken!)
That sounds like a great idea!
Wow! This recipe looks incredible. I'm a big fan of chicken salad, and I like how you used yogurt in place of mayo. This is a recipe I'll be adding to my lunch menu. Thanks for sharing! :0)
Thanks Juliet! I was really pleased with how the yogurt turned out. I think it's a substitution we will be using often going forward.
