Making Chai Tea At Home

The warm, spicy, creamy, and slightly sweet flavors of chai tea make it quite comforting on a cool winter night.

You can buy chai concentrates from the store, but that can get pricey if you find yourself addicted (like we are), and coffee shop chai lattes can to.

But, giving the gift of a Chai Tea Blend is a cute and easy way to give the gift of that cozy-ed up before a fire feeling.

Mixing a Homemade Chai Tea Blend

Soft green cardamom pods, chunks of cinnamon bark, and bits of candied ginger look so pretty intermingled with the dark black tea.

And, the smell is intoxicating.

Go ahead, open the jar and take a whiff.

  1. This is brilliant. I think you've just solved almost my entire gift list for this year, and I'm going to make a jar for myself.

  2. Thanks for this great idea Sarah! I love Chai, and I would try to replicate your project using the same Wire Bale Air-Seal Glass Jars that you used.

  3. I'm going to make the Candy Cookies in a Jar and put it the Blue Ball Heritage Mason jars. My friends will love the cookies and that they get to keep the jars as well!

  4. Chai tea is my absolute favorite tea. I've never thought to make a blend myself. Fantastic idea and recipe!

  5. I think that I may have to add this to my holiday gifting list, as well...I am a huge chai-lover. I'd probably have a hard time not using it as potpourri ;). Beautiful, Sarah!
