I love seeing all these great recipes that will motivate me to use my slow cooker year round. I love this idea for using it – my husband, the resident omnivore – would LOVE this. It looks soooo tender!

I think I actually use my crockpot more in summer than winter…so thst I don’t havd to turn on the oven! I could definitely one of these sammies right now…yum!

Great looking recipe! I must confess, I don’t think of using a crockpot in Spring/Summer…but you’re right, it can be a great way to make a meal! Thanks for sharing!

Rich, Italian flavours – and a good way to use a crock-pot in warmer weather!

What a great recipe! And I agree on crock pots year round! Great point on not having to heat up the house with the oven!!!

I agree on how the crock pot should be used all year long. It saves from heating up the kitchen or standing over a hot grill when it is almost 100 degrees outside. Double agree on the sandwiches too. Mighty fine sandwiches would happen with this beef.

I’m like you. I use my slow cooker a lot in the winter but always set it aside in warmer months. So true though that it can still be used for lighter fare and especially for sandwich meats. Great recipe.

I do the same thing with my crock pot. It seems to get neglected during the spring and summer. But really there is still a need for it. I love coming home from work to the smell of something simmering in my crock pot

A similar recipe was my second choice for today. I love that you used red wine, it´s so amazing when slow cooking meat. I heart this sandwich so much!

The melty cheese on that sandwich has spoken to my heart.

Such a great idea to use the slow cooker for sandwich meats! Much more delicious than buying it at the store.
