Mustard Dill Beer Bread
Mustard and dill evoke classic German flavors in this quick beer bread that is great with stews and pairs incredibly well with ham.

Ingredients

unbleached all-purpose flour
1
c
white whole wheat flour*
(or all purpose flour)

tablespoon
baking powder
2
tablespoon
fresh dill,
chopped (or 2 teaspoon dried)
2
teaspoon
sugar
1
teaspoon
salt
2
tablespoon
mustard
(your favorite version)

Ale-style beer
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375F.
In a large bowl mix flours, baking powder, dill, sugar, and salt.
Add mustard and beer and mix until just combined.
Pour batter immediately into a greased 8 inch loaf pan.
Bake 45 min, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the loaf comes out clean.
Let cool in the pan for 10 min before removing bread from the pan to cool completely on a wire rack.
